''Aethes matthewcruzi'' is a species of moth of the Tortricidae family. It is found in North America, where it has been recorded from Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire and Wisconsin.〔(Aethes at funet )〕 The length of the forewings is 6.8-8.2 mm for males and 8.6-9.2 mm for females. The ground colour of the forewings is cream with brown suffusions. The markings are reduced to small, black, buff and brown spots. The hindwings are drab-grey. Adults are on wing from June to August, probably in one generation per year. ==Etymology== The species is named in honour of Matthew Edward Cruz.〔(Revised identities and new species of Aethes from midwestern North America (Tortricidae) )〕
